Why is there sometimes no fresh fish for sale?
We sell only the freshest seafood and put our fresh fish on the site as soon as the catch comes in. To find out when this page is updated with fresh fish for the week, please sign up to our mailing list.
Where are your products from?
Our fish comes from local fishermen. The salmon is imported from Norway. Some of our frozen products are imported from ethical and responsible fisheries. Our meat, eggs and dairy items come from local, ethical farmers with a focus on free-range livestock.
Why does your fish seem more expensive than other shops?
Most of our fish are advertised as filleted which means the fish is first filleted and then weighed. We find it easier for the customer to work out how much they need if the fish is filleted. Most other fish shops will advertise the fish as whole fish, which they then weigh and fillet for you. The fish works out to the same price as you pay for the head and bones. Using Yellowtail as an example. The yield, once filleted is 60% of the whole Therefore a whole fish that cost R65/kg will cost R110/kg once filleted. So if you are looking for whole fish we sell it just as that, a whole fish (scaled and gutted) but if you’d prefer filleted we’ll sell it filleted. We’ll gladly supply you with heads and bones for stock and soup at no extra charge.
Should I order whole or filleted?
Consider ordering a whole fish if you’d like to braai or bake the whole fish, whole fish are ordered per fish and the weights do vary. Smallish fish – Hottentot, Silvers, Panga, Red Roman all weigh between 500 and 1.5kg and will feed 1 to 2 people. Medium fish – Yellowtail, Hake, Kingklip vary greatly in size but average between 2 and 4kg’s and serve 4 to 8 guests. Large fish such as Tuna and Swordfish weigh from 10kg to 90kg’s.
Where can I collect?

Where should one park when collecting our order?
